MRU aims to unite active and retired public sector employees so they can better protect their rights. It is also dedicated to educating present and future retirees on issues pertinent to their retirement.

The Governor signed the 2010-2011 budget and it included the 3% COLA on the first $12,000 of a teacher's pension. Thank you to all who contacted Senators to get it included in the Senate version of the budget. Thanks also to those who called the Governor’s Office to keep it in the budget! United we prevailed!!!!!
